God said to Jeremiah, "Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth from the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations" (Jer. 1:5). Jesus said of the children, "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea" (Mt. 18:6). Again, the Lord says, "Therefore all things whatsoever you would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them" (Mt. 7:12). Dr. Bernard Nathanson ran one of the largest abortion clinics and then suddenly stopped what he was doing. He said, "I am deeply troubled by my own increasing certainty that I presided over 60,000 deaths." Thank God for the courage of Dr. Nathanson. Furthermore, abortion transgresses the golden rule (Mt. 7:12). Does the insertion of forceps through the cervix to grasp a baby's body, and remove the little one piece by piece sound like something you would desire being done to you? Do you like the thought of being burned alive, which is what happens when saline solution is inserted into the baby's amniotic fluid? Pharaoh, Herod, and Hitler must take a back seat to those who perform and permit abortions. Dear friends, supporting this insanity is unnatural and goes against basic human instincts. What can we do? Do not let a day go by that you do not pray for abortion to end. Let your voice be heard in your community, at school and on the job. Contact your representatives in Washington today and urge them to ban partial birth abortions immediately. Vote for only pro-life candidates. Urge mothers who are considering abortion to remember a baby is inside the womb, and if there must be another option, choose adoption over abortion. President Reagan wisely asked the nation to consider, "the real question today is not when human life begins, but what is the value of human life? ...the real question for (the baby) and for all of us is whether that tiny human life has a God-given right to be protected by the law- the same right we have." We know the answer! |
